Usage allowance
How your subscription's AI usage allowance works, and what the meters in your dashboard mean.
Your allowance
Every subscription includes an allowance for how much you can use Haruno in each billing cycle. Rather than one big number you could spend in an afternoon, that allowance is paced by two windows — a five-hour session and a week — so a burst of heavy use can't drain the whole cycle at once. Your weekly allowance is worth five sessions. The dashboard shows each window as a simple percentage of what you've used.
Current session (5 hours)
The session window is a five-hour block. It opens with your first request, runs for exactly five hours, and then clears completely — the meter shows a live countdown to that moment. Working more inside the block never pushes the reset further away, and once it passes, your whole session allowance is back at once. A session is one fifth of your weekly allowance.
Weekly limit
The weekly window works the same way at a larger scale: it opens with your first request after the previous week ended, runs for seven days, then clears completely. It holds five sessions' worth of allowance — five full sessions in a row use up the week, while lighter sessions leave room for more. Your dashboard shows the exact date and time it resets.
Bonus credit and organization pools
Two kinds of balance can top up your allowance: bonus credit — a promo code or a credit added to your account — and, for organization members, the organization's shared pool. Both are balances rather than limits: they are spent once, aren't paced by the windows, and are used only after your allowance for the current window is gone — your own credit first, then the pool. Each shows on your dashboard as a meter counting down how much is left.
Reading the meters
Each meter fills as you approach that window's limit — it turns amber as you get close and red when you're nearly out, so you always know where you stand. A limit meter stops at 100%, because a limit can be full but never more than full. The balances are the exception: bonus credit and your organization's pool are balances rather than limits, so their meters read how much is left and empty as you spend them. The daily chart shows how much of each day's share you've used, making it easy to spot your busiest days.
The meters refresh as you work. Use the refresh button on your dashboard to pull the very latest figures.
| Meter | What it shows | Resets |
|---|---|---|
| Current session | Usage inside the five-hour block you are in | When the block ends — five hours after it opened |
| Weekly | Usage inside the seven-day block you are in | When the block ends — seven days after it opened |
| Bonus credit | How much credit is left — this one counts down, not up | Never — it is a balance you spend once |
| Organization pool | How much of the pool you can still draw — counts down | Never — it is a balance the organization tops up |
When you reach a limit
When a window fills, your allowance stops covering new work until it resets — the dashboard shows when. If you hold bonus credit, or your organization has a pool, work carries on and that balance drains instead; the caption under the meter says which one is paying. Work pauses only when a window is full and no balance is left. If you regularly reach your limits, ask us about extra AI usage credits.
Organizations
An organization runs on one subscription, and every member works under it. You can't hold a personal subscription alongside an organization membership, so cancel a personal subscription before accepting an invitation. Each member has their own allowance, paced by the same windows; past it, members draw on the organization's shared pool (after any bonus credit of their own), and organization admins can cap how much of the pool each member may use.
